Bér began his career in Amsterdam’s underground music scene and still feels most at home in the margins and undercurrents of society. With 15 years of experience as a strategist, communications advisor, and lobbyist, he understands better than anyone how to make your organization or cause socially relevant and put it on the political agenda. Both professionally and in his free time, Bér has advised dozens of executives, directors, political candidates, and social movements with strategy, guidance, and action.

He believes that a diversity of tactics is what changes the world. From constructive policy advocacy to high-impact campaigns and direct action, Bér knows how to find the most effective approach for your organization. He also draws from outside the social sector to help organizations succeed. After all, building a small group of five friends into one of the world’s leading music organizations taught him just as much about movement-building and campaigning as co-organizing the largest housing protests in the Netherlands.
